Turkey’s scenery is breath taking and the hospitality and warmth of the Turkish people will impress you. Whether it is the reliable winds and variety of sailing itineraries or the many sheltered bays along the coast, Turkey’s unspoilt coastline has something for everyone. The afternoon winds are reliable and you can stay out sailing until early evening, enjoying the wind, as you won't be fighting for a place to moor. There are numerous flotillas to choose from along the Turkish coast, but they typically focus in 2 main areas.

Bodrum - The Northernmost charter base Bodrum lies just 8 miles to the east of the Greek island of Kos. Bodrum itself is a thriving city with a unique blend of ancient history, lively bars and restaurants and a bustling bazaar. Sailing from Bodrum presents many options, you can head north to the Gulf of Gokova with so many coves and bays for you to explore. Or sail south into the Gulf of Datca via the ancient ruins of Knidos. Anchor in the bay and stroll among the ruins of a once thriving metropolis and the home of the famous statue of Aphrodite. Our team will be happy to provide details of the itinerary your chosen flotilla will be following.

The Gulf of Fethiye is a sailors dream with so many pine covered islands hosting sheltered coves and anchorages perfect for spending a tranquil night on anchor, or having a leisurely lunch time swim. Short passages, numerous anchorages, calm clear waters and numerous waterfront Tavernas, the gulf of Fethiye is truly perfect. More adventurous sailors may find the gulf a little limited, and may choose to explore further afield.
